With all the buzz in the media about this stimulus package and that, I was thinking how terrific it would be to find a cute, clever collaborator to create our own lovely Love Stimulus Plan/Program/Package (whatever we choose to call it), full of whispers, sighs, and surprise—and one that the kids won't have to pay for!

I’m deeply curious about, and often fascinated by, people’s stories, politics, the ever-changing events of the day, youthful (pics recent), playful, occasionally original, colorful, non-cookie cutter. Most say I’m upbeat, others say offbeat, some say I rarely miss a beat (you be the judge). I make good eye contact, listen carefully, and am finely tuned in to nuances in nature and language, the rhythms of the body, the heart. . . .

I work in the field of public policy—work that is rewarding and makes me feel like I’m contributing, word-by-word, to some greater good. No "job" has been as joyful, and challenging though, as raising my three sons, sometimes as a single parent.

Among other pleasures, I enjoy film and discussing it over dinner, writing/reading fiction, exploring the Bay Area’s peaks and valleys, political satire ala Fey, Maher, CAL Performances/Berkeley Rep. I love New York always—and in June, especially—jazz, Broadway shows, a Gershwin tune. I’m drawn to the north coast when the rain is hard, and the ocean, wild, Machu Picchu, the Yangtze, crossing the international date line, discovering distant lands, cultures, treasures.

Could you be he, could I be she? Might thou take the risk to see/how lovely our Love Stimulus Plan could be?

It doesn't really matter where we meet--whether a park bench, Peet's, or Cafe Chez Panisse. What matters most is that we like the way each other looks, how our voices sound, the way we move and touch, and could imagine a day, not too far away, when we would meet again.
