I'm artistic, but not artsy-fartsy. Musical, but not a one trick pony. I love my planet, but I'm not a tree-hugger. I love knowledge and loathe deliberate ignorance, but I'm not a bookworm. I hate beligerance and drama, but I'm not a peace maker. I loath religion, politics, and any form of dogma, though I reverence my Father, I follow no doctrine. Don't put me in a box, I won't fit. Don't put me on a pedestal, I'll fall off. Don't tread on me, I'll strike your ankle. Put away your mini-me, show me true love, and I'll be the best friend I can be... Graceful, like a dove.

What I’m doing with my life:
Focusing my energies on making my living with Art, crafts, & Music. Tired of slaving at a dead end job. Macreme pot hangers and dream catchers in spare time and working on shop at home so I can airbrush and make furniture and other worldly and ecclectic crafts. Also would like to take up sewing. Thinking about going back to school for maybe business and learn some other languages. Would like to do some travel. Interested in learning holistic healing practices such as Reiki, Acupuncture, Herbal medicine, and hypnotherapy. Working on my music recordings for yet another album.
I'm good around the home with handyman work. I like to build my own furniture, deck, etc. I enjoy art of every kind, especially when it comes to decorating. I really enjoy making just about anything, especially for a home. I get into coordinating colors (i.e. curtains, carpets, wall paintings, bed sheets, etc.) and I love to paint on walls. I love to cook. Mediteranian, mex, and asian foods are my favorites. I love a neat, tidy, organized home with appealing worldly decor. Sloppiness and trashiness is a real peeve of mine. I don't do dogs, especially in the bed or on the couch! I enjoy gardening. I play guitar, bass, and sing. I enjoy recording my own music on multiple tracks. As stated above my music is on My Space listed as the Nik Hendrik project, and I have a cd for sale at amazon.com I'm also pretty good at troubleshooting computers and I prefer to do my own mechanic work if and when I can (though I don't enjoy it). I love to cook and I looove to grill. I love spicy hot things (habeneros are the best). I'm good at cooking chilli and mexican, meditarranian style salads, falafel balls, asian food such as stuffed fried tofu and chicken kung pow.
The first things people usually notice about me:
I have very course hair and alot of it. Everyone notices that. People are always asking me if I'm mixed. I tell them Cherokee, Choktaw, Dutch, and Irish. I have also been told I have very unique eyes. People often ask me why my hands shake. I've been told I have a really crazy laugh, I write great music, and I have a nice physique.

I'm not religous but If I picked a religion it would have many attributes of buddism with Nagualistic philosophies of Love and Middle Eastern Sufism incorporated. I agree with many teachings of Jesus except for what various religous sects twisted his words into. Jesus was a revolutionary, not a peace maker.
I also like to read about natural remedies, holistic medicine, and health foods and cooking.

On a typical Friday night I am working on my music projects, or read a book. But I love to go out for beer and hear a band with a friend. Coffee shops are great (I looooove black coffee and mayan cocoa). I like most any place with an open mic, karaoke, or poetry slam. Bookstores are fun. Concerts and big crowds are exiting. I'm always open to new and exciting things as well. And I love discovering new off beat ways to HAVE FUN whether its grocery shopping while wearing only my trench coat with nothing underneath or whatever offbeat thing I can think of doing next.
If you like to enguage in interesting conversation (i.e. you can be challenged on a philosophical level without getting your panties in a wad) because my beliefs are different than yours, if you have a solid and realistic concept about what love and freedom are, if you have a positive outlook on life, if you are not so materialistic and into dumb human stuff, and if you like to laugh and smile alot and love lots of affection, write me. If you can turn me on to some great food I haven't tried before, or some great music I haven't heard before, write me. MOST OF ALL If you love to love and love to have fun...

First date depends on the person I'm dating, i.e. what common ground we have. Good conversation is very important. I prefer to do things where we can enguage each other, not escape one another or ourselves. Dinner and movie is nice with someone you are familiar with, but too generic with someone you are just getting to know. I love live music and outdoor activities. Cooking with someone in the kitchen is a great way to learn what the other knows, learn new things, learn how they think and work, etc. I am a connoisseur of great food and great beer!
