I know, the photos look as if I lost my best friend; yet I'm probably the most happy guy in Florida. The photos were snapped by my son-in-law, a few minutes before we dashed to the airport to get them on an early morning flight. I was tired after spending the past week in the pool and the Gulf with my two granddaughters, and of course there was the wave-runner and parasailing. Gees, I turned 67 on 9/27/09, but I weigh the same as I did when the Yankees invited me to rookie camp, those years ago, and have spent years on tennis courts. The truth is I savored every moment with the kids, and held my own, barely.
A little about me..I moved to Florida 5 years ago, after decades in the business world, retiring as VP of Sales for a sizeable company headquartered in Atlanta. I wrote a memoir that made the chain bookstores in 06, and am now writing a novel that hopefully will also be successful. I've traveled extensively: Europe, the Caribbean and much of America, including beautiful Hawaii. I've skydived, drove top-fuel dragsters when I was younger and took a ride on that exciting world-class Sheikrar rollercoaster recenty at Busch Gardens. I walk a couple miles of beach, most every day. I'm not sure about doing 15 hour flights to Europe, anymore, but would like to explore Florida. I've only seen the Bay area, of course, and Key West. Another trip to New England would be nice. The lady I hope to meet doesn't have to share my beach lifestyle. Diversity is the spice of life, some poet once wrote, and it's entirely possible I would enjoy another's lifestyle, as well. Also I'd prefer to meet someone who lives a reasonable distance to me. I live in a condo near the Wine Cellar restaurant on Gulf Blvd.
