I am an interesting person and that is not only because I like a good chick flick. :) I guess I should talk about myself here and draw your interest away from my boyishly handsome features. :p Well...I love to write. Poetry is something near and dear to me. I tend to not wear my heart on my sleeve so poetry serves as a viable release. One day I hope to be working for some big newspaper but until then I just hope to be happy and content with my life. I am a goofy guy and will remain as such. If you come around me I can guarantee laughter and some obscure movie references haha. As for hobbies; You can find me at the movies at least once a week. I try to keep my body in tip top shape and work out often. I have also been known to shake my groove thang, yeah yeah. And if I'm not doing any of that then I'm probably writing or listening to music, anything from Nirvana to Dashboard Confessional to 'Lil Wayne. As my music choices indicate, I consider myself very diverse and someone much deeper than the surface may indicate. But the truth remains: I am a dork. Haha

The Embarkation of Disenchantment

I am not privy to
My own misconstrued ideals
Though I feel superior
This inferiority complex reigns

Why is it that my smile
This little cheeky expression
Is the only show of emotion
That feels like a show

Am I a character actor
Always the lovesick-awed
Right place-wrong time
Out of line fool

Thus began the downward spiral
A bitter staircase of adolescence
From prepubescent pity
To my predominant quality

The embarkation of disenchantment
A life story filled with words
Unspoken and choked on
Lining my days in chalky outlines

Finite moments of glory
Fall before my backtracking steps
As I run from every little look
That could break my heart in two

Clueless in my own beliefs
For what is true love
When the only truth you know
Is that you are untruthful

Here I stand in the street
Steady eyes, steady feet
Braced for the car wreck
That is my tomorrow

A date eh? Well I'm a low key kind of guy. Talking and getting to know each other should be the agenda but you want to have fun too. I say meeting for lunch or dinner followed by a walk would be an excellent first date. That way you can get to know each other and who knows what interesting places you will pass that will fit your fancy.
