I am a 'young' 30 year old who is looking to meet new people in the hope of finding someone special to share time with :)

I moved to Vancouver from the UK over three years ago to see if I would fit in here on a permanent basis, and so far, things are going well.

I moved here with no contacts or job, and I now work as a construction finance consultant downtown after spending my first year 'transferring' my qualifications over to the Canadian system. I enjoy my job, and work hard when required, but I moved here partly because I want to enjoy my life (and have a life) outside of work, something which is not too common in London.

Family is very important to me, and I spend time with the family I have here, and also make sure I visit home at least once a year to see my immediate family. Friends are also important to me, although I do of course miss my old friends from home, but hope to make some good friends here too.

I love what Vancouver has to offer in terms of adventure, and I have really got into the mountains and the lakes since moving here. Mountain biking/water-skiing in the summer and skiing in the winter is something I have never had before on a weekly basis.

I got out of a long term relationship in the summer and in some ways I still feel new to this city as I don't know too many people, so feel free to message me, its always nice to hear from people who share the same interests :)

A bit more about me: I am loyal to those who are close to me; I love to laugh (although that has not been going on lately); I am very laid back (away from my work, otherwise it's business only); I can be very stubborn (if I get stubborn with someone, it is only because I care and want the best for that person!).

First date? I think something low key, like going for a coffee (original eh?) and if there is something there ... well, then it will get more fun ;)
