I've noticed a lot of profiles that are vague and so I have nothing to message you about. I'm not going to message you saying "hi you're kinda purdy" so at least give me something to work with!!!

Excessive use of LOL, OMG, U, 2, and other 'txt speak' in your profiles is a great way to discredit yourself and encourage me to ignore you.

I'm a geek at heart and not afraid to show it. Always looking for a partner in crime. I'm sarcastic and prefer more Mel Brooks or 3 stooges comedy than Jim Carrey style. I have 8gb worth of loony toons cartoons (120 total episodes) that i'll watch when i need a good laugh. Musical tastes are all over the spectrum ranging from Johnny Cash, Dropkick Murphy's, Bad Religion, INXS, LOTR soundtracks, and neo-classical. I'd rather stay away from the meat market popular bars as much as possible and go hit up a couple small hole in the walls.

I have a garden where i grow actual veggies. It's where i spend my free time during summer. I have a compost bin. I recycle. I'm not a tree hugging hippie or anything like that. I just do what's logical (aluminum = money, compost = saving money, growing = cheap awesome food, etc).

Politics and history are important to me and so I like to know what is going on in the world. I don't wear a tin foil hat because it itches and is pretty warm during the summer months. I'm not afraid to rant. More often than not my rants are pretty off the wall and people wind up laughing at how absurd it is but my mission is accomplished when people laugh.

I like to cook but i don't have many opportunities these days. I like to read but my downtime is rare. I like to kick back and relax on the weekends but i seem to be working weekends all of the time. I like to go to concerts but there aren't many that appeal right now. I like to stay up late talking about random topics but everyone has to go to bed early. I like to sit on my porch during storms and watch the trees and lightning but the damn street light is very bright.

On a recent Tuesday evening, I watched TV. My options were NCIS, Biggest Loser, Melrose Place, Dancing with the stars, and Frontline. I watched Frontline.

In the end, I'm looking for someone i can have fun with primarily and then see where things go from there.

As trite as it sounds, I would do either dinner or coffee. Something public to meet and comfortable to talk. People watching is always oodles of fun.
