I'm a bit of a maven, fairly techno-savvy, and I'm good at finding things for people and helping them with computer/electronic stuff, particularly musical things. I am a professional musician, a really good one, I've played just a bit on the national stage (on tour with some national artists), and I feel like that if I can be challenged and motivated more by certain things in my life, that I can move from being comfortable to being significantly better than comfortable. Trying to figure out that equation is my next big step. I have lots of keyboards, I like good tv and movies, I'm trying to reclaim my sense of erudition, which is hard in this easy information, multitasking world. I love games of chance and skill. I've got a goofy, almost corny, streak at times, and if you get my sense of humor, you will laugh a lot around me. I question everything, but I generally see the good, and I don't have a lot of guile... I'm a bit unsure if that's my greatest asset or weakness... probably both.

I play jazz, that's my passion, although I've also shared the stage with Willie Nelson and Ray Price... I've been a college music professor, as well, and I enjoy teaching and helping my students reach their potential.

Steely Dan, Keith Jarrett, Aaron Copland, Bill Evans, Stevie Wonder, Joe Henderson... would be the sorts of artists I might listen to on a rainy day, preferably on vinyl, although it's hard to carry too much of that around... I think as far as my tastes go I'd say that I'm somehow both picky and I have an open mind... contradictory, but true.

although I might just as easily sit down at my baby grand and play my own thing...

In general I'm introverted, I like to have time to process, but I'm very thoughtful, and insightful...
My schedule is a bit atypical, so if you want to spend time with me, you have to understand that my weekends are my work time, maybe your schedule is flexible, or matches that... or maybe you are interested in something more compartmentalized... I'm interested in creative, thoughtful, respectful solutions to the logistics of dating.
