Outgoing, fun, sometimes serious and sometimes zany Christian gal who is not very "religious" but who has a passion for the truth. I know the Bible well, but the only people I "hit over the head" with it are in the POF forums. My "hobby" is studying Christian apologetics. In person, my focus is on developing strong, healthy, honest and loving relationships with people and with God, not on religion. I am down to earth and REAL. I love to laugh, tell jokes, play, explore all that life has to offer, and just be a kid at heart. Where is the rule that says we have to grow up just because we became adults?
I am by nature a giver, not a taker and one who cheers and encourages others on to success and greatness. I have a high energy level and a willingness to give 100% to any endeavor. Get me on your side and watch me be your best supporter and cheer leader. I counsel abused and troubled women in my spare time. Faith and family are really important to me, but so is having fun. I once belonged to an insurance agency with the agency motto, "Make money, eat well, help people, have fun" Not a bad business model, don't you think?

My avid curiosity and love of learning keep me mentally sharp and always asking questions with a desire to try new things and see new places, without forgetting things learned in the past.Life is an adventure and there is so much to discover!
Words which best describe me: Cheerful, funny, intelligent, articulate, light-hearted, warm, caring, honest, curious, professional, giving, affectionate, dependable, Bible teacher, a great cook.
Things I love: Cooking and sharing the results, singing silly songs on long trips, corny jokes, a great sense of humor, kisses in the kitchen, people watching, computers, books (historical fiction and business), my family, deep conversation, potluck dinners, tax deductions, felines, wine tasting, movies, retail therapy, Trader Joe's, cars, pistols and plinking, art, museums, the color blue, history, prospecting, friendly family poker games, music, the Bible. I really like simple things and am not into being showy nor extravagant.
I conduct financial planning seminars for teachers and have been self-employed for several years. Raised 2 wonderful daughters and have 2 bright, amazing granddaughters who all live near Seattle. I lived in Portland, OR for 9 years (GREAT city!) and in Seattle for 8 years. I also lived in Fairbanks, AK for 2 years and loved that experience (except for the 50 below zero part).
Looking for a friend and a companion to share the laughter (and the tears) as we grow into better people and as we share our strengths and our foibles down this inexplicable path we call life. I am searching for a "REAL" man, one who is open and honest with no mask and no games.
Thank you for reading my "stuff". If I sound like a gal you could be friends with, please drop me a note.

Coffee and conversation or a light lunch for starters. Low key and friendly, then see where it goes from there. Can you make me laugh?
