I have a strong belief system in God. I would like to find someone to attend Church with. I have recently returned to oil painting. I enjoy reading crime, drama and true life books. My favorite TV shows are CSI Miami and NY; Criminal Minds, General Hospital (soap opera) and HGTV and the Food networks. I listen to mostly 70s music, Country and Gospel. Do not like rap or heavy metal. My friends tell me I am really good at meeting new people and making them feel comfortable. I adapt quickly to new situations. I do not judge people by their looks, but I do judge by actions: are they honest, do they have integriety, do the have a strong sense of morality and how do they treat others. I believe character is more important than looks. I love animals, especially dogs (this is the first time I have not had a dog). I do not smoke and will not tolerate anyone smoking in my house or car. I do not date anyone who does smoke. I find life is much easier if you share it with someone who also believes in God and is not embarrassed to worship with you. I love to watch the sunrise and sunset on the beach. I fish (not very often) - prefer just riding in the boat watching the scenery and relaxing. I have been known to ride on the back of a motorcycle. I bowl (sometimes good, sometimes bad). I love to play cards and board games; not very good at video games. I prefer to eat healthy meals when I dine out and like to cook. I have been overweight my whole life and I am comfortable with my body image. If you are not, please do not contact me. I enjoy drama, crime and who done it movies. I really love a lot of old black and white movies. My favorite is a***nic and Old Lace. My favorite black and white TV series is Wyat Earp (the original 1955-61 series). Rainy days are great for snuggling on the couch, watching an old movie or reading a book and having a cup of hot tea. Christmas time calls for watching all the Chritmas movies and specials (family tradition). I have always wanted to go to Ireland and would love to see New York at Christmas. I think first dates should be limited to maybe meeting for a cup of coffee or tea at a quiet restaurant before dinner time. This will be a good ice-breaker and if you converse long enough and think - well maybe this is a good match -- then you can decide about dinner.
