| | I'm a student who's sick of meeting people in bars. I don't mind going out drinking, but I'm looking for a relationship with some substance. I'm musical, scientifically minded, a world traveler who dabbles in many languages, and a cyclist. I have a son who lives in Des Moines, but he comes up to visit every other weekend. I'm not a big sports nut, but do enjoy watching international soccer and some baseball. I'm not a huge fan of videogames, but will play them occasionally. I'm a bit of a beer conniseur. I'll drive out of state for beer that tastes great, but don't mind a PBR when the time is right. I like foreign films, sci-fi, and drama. I'm not crazy about action flicks or dumb comedy, but I love witty dark/dry humor. I read mostly fiction these days, but have a long history with nonfiction. I like Cormac McCarthy, Arthur Nersesian, and William Gibson. I tend to like fast music. Punk, post-punk, psytrance, industrial, progessive house, dance rock, and genre-defying artist are what I listen to most. I dabble in music, performance art, and other visual arts.
I'm looking for someone that shares any of these interests. I can't stand a girl that pretends to be mad at me just to get attention. Glasses are a huge turn on. I'd like someone that enjoys spending a lot of time with their significant other, but time apart is necessary. If religion is the driving force in your life, we won't work out. Biology, chemisty, psychology, sociology, visual arts, or medical/healthcare backgrounds are a huge plus. Being jaded toward "scenes" is a big plus.
