I am a born artist with a rather diverse set of talents: I sing, write- poetry, fiction, prose and music, paint, sculpt, build and design. I love my gardens, my nieces and the concept of magic. I believe in fairy tales. I am an intellectual explorer and spent my twenties searching for my niche and chasing a dream. My first love is music, my second is home improvement/remodeling/decor and landscape design.
I currently work for myself as a concrete artisan designing and building custom countertops, fireplace surrounds, water features and art pieces. While I am getting my little business off the ground, I augment my income with landscaping and decorating jobs and custom window treatments. I have a five-year plan for my company that will take it in an unique and profitable direction and enable me to use all of my talents. I have several incomplete novels that I intend to finish and several ideas that I am building prototypes for so that I can send them off for patents.
Within the next five years, I will break through my personal financial "glass ceiling"- not because money is important in and of itself; but because it will enable me to attain the lifestyle I require.
I am independent, passionate, affectionate, generous and mercurial. I want to learn the Argentine Tango and other ballroom dances and am taking lessons rather sporadically now until I find a regular dance partner. Theater, arts and music are mainstays in my life.
I am a realist, a pragmatic and practical woman who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty and work hard. I am also a dreamer, a sensualist and a romantic with a poet's soul. I "walk with my head in the clouds and my feet firmly planted on the ground."
While I can find something to listen to in almost any genre, I prefer classic rock, 80s music, lighter sounds, love songs, blues, symphony and showtunes.
Honesty, integrity, passion, compassion, romance, faithfulness, loyalty and generosity are the foundation of my being, and imperative in those with whom I choose to interact.
A well-dressed man is singularly attractive to me- be it a three piece suit, a well-cut coat and tie or formal wear. And I do love ties...

I have a full and satisfying life. I don't need someone to complete me or to take care of me; I've been doing a fine job of that for years.

A worthwhile relationship is built on friendship, honesty, faithfulness, mutually fulfilled needs and reciprocity. I want someone who can stand beside me, who balances me and for whom I provide balance, with whom I have shared interests, and who is passionate, romantic and somewhat erudite. Someone who doesn't look down on those who start from rock bottom but believes in their (my) dreams- someone who knows when and how to tell me when I'm over-reaching or spreading myself too thin. Someone to lean on occasionally when the world is too heavy who isn't afraid to lean on me when he needs to. A companion, a friend, lover and partner. Someone with shared ambitions and passions who desires a similar lifestyle to what I am working toward- so that we can grow together and are moving in the same direction.

I'm not averse to the over-the-top romantic date, in fact, I love them. However, if I'm the one planning a first encounter, my inclination is to keep things casual: a quiet bar on a weeknight with live music and a decent wine selection. Quiet enough for conversation, public enough for safety, and with music in the background to fill any silences- awkward or otherwise. That way neither of us is locked into hours together if we're incompatible and we can play it by ear.
