I love books and going to the library. No matter how bad my day, checking out a new book makes it better. I spend a lot of time and money on music, but I definitely don't care if others share my particular tastes. My favorite bands are Newtown Neurotics, Billy Bragg, the Clash, Husker Du, the Four Tops, Percy Sledge, and the Shirelles. I am currently a student so my short term goals are to graduate and maybe get my thesis published. Beyond that I see myself in a job that allows me to be the breadwinner of a family, maybe buy a house one day. I'd love to own a bookstore! I'm very close with my family, and enjoy spending time with them. Among my friends I am definitely used to being "one of the guys" although I'm usually the "guy" wearing makeup. lol! When people first meet me they often think I am aloof or stand-offish because I am very quiet and reserved until I get to know people. I love being funny and making people laugh.

On a first date I like to do pretty typical things like dinner, maybe a museum, or a movie.
