I like food, and I'm not afraid of the drink either. I'd like to meet someone who enjoys those things too...but mostly I'm looking for someone who laughs easily and often, and who knows that you can take life seriously and still laugh at it.

I'm originally from New Orleans, though I've lived in Los Angeles for quite long time now. I love music, and like 99.99% of us, I like to travel whenever I can.

I have a birthmark on my ankle, and a mole on my temple. If I drink too much, I snore. If you put chocolate, double cream blue cheese or Golden Grahams in front of me, I'll eat all of it in one sitting with full knowledge that it will probably make me sick. I'm reasonably handy, but barely. I hate traffic. I used to play the guitar but hardly ever touch it any more. I drink too much coffee almost every day...I'm expecting my adrenal glands to explode very soon. I once rode a bicycle from London to Nice, France. I had an apartment in Paris. Mosquito's prefer me over almost any other person I've ever met. I love rainstorms and lightening. I lived on a boat in Indonesia for a month and dove WWII wrecks for a film project. My neighbor told me that I have a suspicious number of candles in my place for a straight man.

I would take you to an industrial tool convention, followed by a dinner at the Sizzler Buffet. You would pay, while I would sit and browse the internet on my phone. There would be a ton of complaining, at which point you would likely take a cab home, call all your girlfriends and immediately sign up for eHarmony.

Seriously though, I think it depends on the person. A first date is always about getting to know each other, and see how the two of you fit together, right? So something simple and fun, where you can talk...but with the option to let the date continue if you want it to.

Now a second date...that's what the question should be about...
