Okay so let me tell you a few things about me. You may want to get comfortable because this may take a little bit. It is coming from the heart. I am not sure how to go about writing a honest and sincere profile in just a couple of paragraphs.

For starters let me say what exactly I am looking for in someone special. First I want someone who is caring with a kind heart and has ample amounts of both understanding and compassion. I want someone who would not only serve as a lover, but also a very close and dear friend, someone who will an ear to listen when I need it and as I would be for them in return. A person who will like and accept me for me as well.

Another thing I am looking for in a potential mate is emotional maturity. I have in the past been with people who were very much lacking in the maturity department and soon realized they were someone I did not care to be with. I am not a fan of games or nonsense and as I mentioned at the top of my profile "drama queens need not apply".

I am the kind of man who sees things for what they are and does not try to convince himself of anything different. I want the same in someone else.

To tell you a few things about whom I am. I consider myself to be someone I guess you can say of "great depth" I hope that doesn't come across as being too arrogant or full of myself.

I am a person who is a strong believer in keeping their word and coming through on what they say they will do.

I understand that when you are in a relationship with someone you have to at times put their needs in front of your own. Whether it is doing things such as sitting up with her because she is upsetand needs a shoulder to cry on, taking care of someone when they are sick, standing by their side during hard times or even just being someone they can turn to. Those are challenges I am up for.

I try my best to remember the little things such as her favorite movie, flavor of ice cream, stories she told me about when she was little or how she felt the first time she heard a particular song. Please keep in mind however that no one is perfect.

I do want to say that I am basically looking to date more and am on this site to "expand my dating horizons". I really do want to find something that is eventually stable and long term. However I am not looking for anything too quickly. I haves always felt it is best for two people to really take the time to get to know each other and not dive head first into anything. I am also not a "needy" or "clingy" person, so you can put that fear to bed.

Some of the things I like to do for fun are photography (I'm no Ansel Adams, but I like to think I am alright at it), going to concerts (classic rock and alternative and a little hard rock mixed in are my favs), movies (I am up for anything in that department), art galleries (yes gallery hop), outdoor festivals (comfest is my xmas), time with friends and even just hanging out at home with a dvd and a bottle of wine.

On a first date I do like to keep it simple and basically do something like go for coffee or maybe drinks in a nice quiet place. I know it does not like the most exciting thing in the world to do, but for the first time I go out with someone I think it is best to be rather low key. I just think it also seems to be very low pressure.
