I am passionate about eating healthy, moderate exercise and trying to be the best person that you can be. Honesty and dependability are traits that are very important to me. I love music, movies and politics. I have a deep appreciation for art, interior design and architecture. I care about people, animals and nature. I think we all need to do more to protect the environment. I think a lasting relationship can be formed by two people who share common values, beliefs and interests.

I'd like to meet someone who is genuine, affectionate, thoughtful, caring, gentle, funny--dry or sarcastic, intelligent, educated and hard-working. She should be open to telling me how she really feels because I would do the same. Also, I can be very talkative, and other times I can be somewhat quiet. I enjoy stimulating conversation as much as anyone, but I can be just as content sitting quietly, holding hands, and just relaxing together watching tv or a movie. Does that make sense? Wouldn't it be nice to finally meet someone who just "gets" you? What is that quality?

I enjoy working out at the gym (weight training, Zumba, pilates, yoga). I absolutely love to go to the movies! I like good food and restaurants. I try to eat healthy, preferably unprocessed foods like grilled chicken or steak salads, fruit and vegetables, and oatmeal or shredded wheat, but an occasional pizza, cheeseburger or chocolate shake is definitely on the menu! I like dogs and taking walks. I do like to dance as well. I also enjoy the news, reading, writing, political tv shows, and spending quality time together. I like music, having breakfast together, handwritten letters, BBQ, Arizona, Sinatra, basketball, running, Effen Black Cherry Vodka w/Diet 7up, movies, holding hands, old fashioned decency, politics, and Gold Medal Ribbon ice cream. I do not like baseball, rum, mean cats (not all of them, just yours :), mean girls, or mean people in general, smoking, and most (but not all) Republicans.

I think it may be too late in life for me to have children of my own at this time; however, I am open to someone who already has their own. My friends and family are very important to me. I work very hard, so I really want to meet someone that I can spend my downtime with and unwind. I can't say that I don't like the bar scene, but I really have a good time when I'm with friends or someone that I really like. I think it would be great to find someone special--someone to make plans with. If you feel the same, I'd like to hear from you.

I think first dates should be short, casual and fun over coffee or a drink. A casual lunch can be nice as well. If both people decided after an hour, there is interest then schedule a second date for dinner.
