I'm passionate about living life well--finding the balance between work and freedom, quality vs. quantity, doing it with integrity and learning from mistakes. I have two boys, 12 and 14 who are a lot of fun to be with. Running, the occasional yoga class, and finding the humour in things are activities I value.

Manicures--not my thing. I don't own a curling iron, and I prefer Home Depot to the mall. I'm very resourceful and try to do just about everything myself. I've even been known to take apart the washing machine (successfully, I might add). For any task that needs doing, Googling it finds a solution! Confession: I only just recently learned how to send a text message.

The beach, especially in October can be fabulous.

I'm curious, I ask a lot of questions and I leave no stone unturned when trying to make sense of things. I'm thorough, meticulous and organized. (but it doesn't mean all my socks are white) Another Confession: Spiders scare the living bejeezies out of me.

What I bring to the party is respect and sensitivity--I never take anyone or anything for granted, I would never compromise you, and I'll never leave you wondering what's on my mind and in my heart. I will challenge you and cause mischief (all in fun) but I also know when to be quiet and listen.

On truth and honesty: I prefer to be told things I need to know rather than things I want to hear. Truth is found more in action than words. I speak honestly and from the heart, answering all questions truthfully.

I'm looking for a man with both emotional and moral fortitude, can speak his mind, wants me to speak mine, is responsible, articulate, intelligent, knows when to bring flowers (and when not to), considers holding hands to be one of life's necessities, and willing to trust and share his heart. Someone who can laugh at both himself and the world around him. Someone totally imperfect and real. Someone who will challenge me!

First date? Let's see......something short and simple--meeting for a walk with a stop along the way for tea or a hot chocolate! But I also like to be creative so let's talk and decide.
