I am honest, sincere and sensitive. I have a great, but dry, sense of humor that makes me seem more serious than I am. I have been single for 9 years, was married for 8. I have dated off and on, been "single" and in one long-term relationship since I've been divorced.

I like men who are smart and have a good sense of humor. I would like to meet someone who is laid back and can help me with the big picture. He needs to be kind, understanding and present. He should care about what I say, and also respect what is important to me. I will provide the same kindness and respect for him and his feelings.

I am understanding and supportive, sensitive to your needs, but I also know when you need your space. I'm ready for an adult, mature relationship. I have learned that everything isn't all about me, and I have compassion for others and am able to give.

I'm looking for someone who's been through the ups and downs of life and has gotten off the roller coaster. Someone who is able to relax and enjoy life, but is also up for some new adventures - like waterparks, snorkeling, snowboarding, or whatever you've been meaning to do for the last 20 years but haven't gotten around to.

I work hard at everything I do, fun included, but am not good at being spontaneous. (Unless it's planned.) (attempt at humor, btw.) With my free time I like to hike, take pictures, go to movies, see live concerts. I'd like to see more theater, go to a museum once in a while. I like thrift shops and yard sales and good coffee.

I've written screenplays that I didn't sell, tried stand-up comedy, and am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

I would be interested in meeting someone who's still exploring and learning stuff - art, computer stuff, spirituality, cooking, camping, kayaking...
