I am a very laid-back guy who likes to stay active. I have tons of hobbies, like running (training for a half [then full] marathon right now), flying, skydiving, rock climbing, scuba diving, snowboarding, traveling, and lots of things in between. Can't do that sort of stuff all the time though, so eating out, staying in and watching a movie also have their place. I'm a bit of a beer snob :)

Some goals that are in various states of completion: live by the ocean one day / that marathon I mentioned above / finish my degree / get back into the medical profession / hike the Appalachian and Inca trails / visit all 7 continents

I've lived abroad recently and *love* to travel, whether it's a last-minute road trip, or an trip to the other side of the world. There's plenty of adventure to be had, so let's go!

I love to read, mostly different kinds of fiction, but some non-fiction too (crime and punishment is the book du jour... er, maybe book of the month). Music-wise I'm all over the place, I like just about everything but some rap. Same with movies, I'll watch just about anything. I'm not religious. My views are mostly liberal, but I don't call myself a Democrat. I'm always open to new experiences. I can be quiet sometimes, but get me started on something interesting and I'll talk your ear off.

I'm looking for someone to share all that with, to teach and be taught, and have fun in the process. You know, the same things everyone else on here is looking for!

I'm up for anything. Some things that would be fun the first time might be:
- coffee or a drink
- a run/walk/hike
- indoor rock climbing

Really, anything where we could talk and get to know each other a little. That's pretty hard at a movie.
