I am a single father of 3 (15, 12, and 5) and have my oldest 2 full time. I work for a marketing company as a Market Development/Territory Manager. I went back to school in 2006 (Depaul University) to finish my BA. It has been a long time coming and I'm hoping to complete it soon. I try to lead by example with strong character, but accept and learn from the mistakes I make. I believe that communication is the most important foundation in any relationship you have. Most of my free time is spent with my kids, but I do enjoy getting together with friends for movies, game night, watching UFC, etc. I like to travel with the kids to different places throughout the US, enjoying the sites, architecture, food, etc. I also love to cook, and use the kids as guinea pigs all the time. When it comes to music I am what you would call musically diverse. I listen to all types of music ranging from rock to rap, heavy metal to christian rock, hip hop to classical, etc. I am also diverse when it comes to movies. I mainly enjoy comedies, but will also watch suspense, action/adventure, drama, and have been suckered into watching a good "chick flick." I am looking for partner that loves kids, has strong character, is a great communicator, and shares similar interests, but will also introduce me to new things and adventures.

I think first dates are somewhat nerve-racking. My ideal first date would include lots of conversation and getting to know my date. I would prefer going to a restaurant for dinner, then some place fun like mini golf, bowling, etc. If that doesn't work I'm completely ok with going to get ice cream over having coffee. What woman doesn't have a sweet tooth? I think the more open the date is, as opposed to sitting in a quiet movie theater, the better off you are at subsiding that nervousness.
