I'm a woman with very diverse interests. From nights at the theater, to sports bars for a beer and a game, to quiet evenings at home with good food and good company, I'm open to a variety of enjoyable activities.

It's fair to say that I have an addiction to movies. I completely blame it on my highschool job at a video store, which is also responsible for my growing movie collection. I'll watch anything once (except for the Godzilla remake from 1998 I think? That was terrible!). I'm especially fond of horror movies too!!!!! I gained an appreciation for the art in a college class, and have been hooked ever since :)

Some would view my life and say I've attained a fair level of success: I have a good job and I own my own home, which are great things, but I'm not fully satisfied with this. My job is one that I never envisioned myself in, and therefore I do not enjoy it in a way that I desire to. It provides, and pays the bills (which I am incredibly grateful for), but I want to love what I do. I have my degree in Biology and Marine Science, and I'm looking to go back to school for my Masters in the Environmental Science field. I'm hoping to work for an environmental protection organization some day, either with federal government (because the benefits are really great) or non-profit (because they do inspiring work).

Other interests include: hiking, fishing, swimming, hanging out with my cat (she's really cute!!!!!), and various crafts. I'm trying to learn to crochet, which is challenging, but I think the blankets (scarves, wraps, etc) that are the result are beautiful :) I've also recently been camping for the first time, for a weekend paintball game. Some friends asked me to go, and I enjoyed it tremendously!!!!!! There's something oddly enjoyable about trekking through the woods shooting paint pellets at the other team....it's basically safe war games, but really gives you an idea what it would be like to be on a battlefield....pretty intimidating!!!!

I also enjoy going to concerts when the opportunity arises. I've seen several greats, including Tori Amos, Aerosmith, and Cher. I've seen several others, but I'm a bit embarrassed by one.....in all fairness, I was only 12 when I saw NKOTB in concert :P I really enjoy rock, country, alternative, dance, and some R&B. Favorite artists include: A Perfect Circle, NIN, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Ani DeFranco, Tori Amos, Sarah McLaughlin, Jewel, Dixie Chicks, Rascal Flatts, Dave Matthews, Carbon Leaf, and many others that I can't quite think of currently. I also really enjoy opera and showtunes :)

As far as books are concerned, I tend to lean towards fiction. I really love getting lost in a good story, curled up on my couch with a cup of hot tea. I'm open to reading non-fiction and biographies as well, especially if they are areas I'm interested in (especially if it involves Marine Biology).

Other things to note: I am learning to play the guitar :) I've included a picture of my hummingbird, which is a beautiful instrument, both in appearance and tone quality. I also have a few tattoos, which I love:)

Describe an enjoyable first date???? I'm honestly going to bypass this, because the answer is pretty standard, in my opinion. It's not like we'll be doing ritualistic animal scarifices, or anything majorly earth-shattering. I'm sure it'll be dinner, movies, a walk....something tame. :)

I'll just basically state what I'm looking for: a man with intelligence, who is able to hold a decent conversation, who can make me laugh, and who can challenge me. I prefer you to be educated (not necessarily a degree), employed, and have a strong idea of what's right and what's wrong.
