I am a quiet articulate artist who works part time as a private security officer, living in my art studio, working with clay. I am honest and expect honesty. I am interested in spiritual things. I like to do local travel, sight seeing, and visit various types of museums and nature spots. I'm not much into music, although I have an amateur musical history (played trumpet; baroque/renaissance recorder music). I have just started a Tai Chi class.
It's been a long time since I've gone fishing - it seems more complicated here in Colorado. I'm not interested in hunting. I enjoy hiking/camping, but not technical climbing. I have an 18 speed hybrid bicycle w/saddle bags. While I'm generally in good physical shape and do short rides, I'm not currently in shape for long distance bike trips which I did when I was younger (around trip Boston to Montreal for example). I have a motorcycle endorsement on my license, but don't currently own one - maybe someday for commuting (a scooter perhaps)or if I should move, a warmer year round climate a motorcycle for touring/camping.
I have a sense of humor - puns, double entendres, or sometimes a dry British style joke.
I live an eclectic and individual life style without being totally wild or out of control. About some things I am conservative, and, others I am moderate and progressive (no one size fits all).

For a first date, I like to go some place or do something where it is possible to have a conversation to get to know each other without simply sitting across from each other and not knowing what to say or going through a list of likes and dislikes. By doing something, looking at something, there is the opportunity to talk about other things and think about them as well as talk and think about ourselves.
