I am a single mom, have raised my two kids on my own for the last 15 years with one out on his own and the other finishing high school and planning on heading to the U of A for law, so all in all not a bad job. In the meantime, I have just got rid of two businesses and am staying at home full time to help raise my grandson while my daughter finishes high school, and it's actually been the best part of my life. My family is my first priority, always has been. However, very much looking forward to when I finally get to move out, lol.
I am a pretty easy going lady, I take it as it comes and call it like it is. I have zero tolerance for bullshit, and tend to speak my mind openly. I guess I figure I have paid my dues and am finally at that age where I can pick and choose who I have in my life and who I dont. I find myself regularly cleaning out the people in my life who are there for all the wrong reasons and dont need to be there, and the ones that belong are keepers.
I'm pretty down to earth, not looking for anyone to take care of me, done a pretty good job on my own all this time, nor am I looking to look after anyone else either. I know where I have come from, and where I am going in life, with a few detours I am sure, and can't wait to get there, but I will enjoy a few stops along the way.
I have learned the hard way to live your life in a way that makes you happy, it's the only you have, and I hate seeing anyone wasting the opportunities given to them. I want to live each day likes it's my last and take everything from it that I can so that when I wake up the next day, I can do it all over again.
I am financially stable, and am finally able to do all the things that I have held off while raising my own kids.
I believe in honesty and integrity, being up front even when sometimes the truth hurts. I am stubborn and can dig my heals in, but I have learned that there is more than one way to do something right. I dont judge anyone for their pasts, we all have them, but on who they are today. I'm not interested in all the bells and whistles, big toys and big houses. Your belongings do not define who you are, but your actions in your everyday life tell who you really are.
