OK, I'm more than a little green back on the dating scene, but I don't believe I've ever forgotten how to treat a lady. I've been dormant for too long now and have finally come to the realization that the heart, without sufficient stimulation, will wither and harden--I refuse to allow that to be my destiny. Take my heart, break my heart, do what you have to do; I'm finally ready to let it out again.

I'm open to many new experiences and rediscovering some old ones. I enjoy a wide variety of activities but admittedly I may be a little rusty at some of them. I have a deep collection of very interesting and uncommon music. My dogs love me more than I could even love myself and they will love you, too, unless you're evil. I enjoy cooking and I'm rather good at it, but I do have an odd taste in food. I have a sharp mind, good taste, and dry sense of humor.

I enjoy independent films and art and culture that are a little off the beaten path. I don't make too much time for TV with the exception of NFL football. You may annihilate me at cards, but I still like to play. I don't frequent bars too often, but I will gladly go to catch some good live entertainment. I have a terrific sense of humor and I like comedy clubs. I'm not easily offended. Stimulating conversation is welcome on any subject, provided we can amicably agree to disagree at times.

I'm a single parent to my 15 year old son and my 13 year old daughter. They are first and foremost in my home life, but they won't be accompanying us on dates, so that's why I didn't lead off with them. I have a full time job during the week, and also operate a small business from my home. I work a lot of hours, but I find it rewarding and intellectually stimulating so it's never a chore.

I seek a woman who is sharp, independent, carries herself well, and is comfortable in her own skin, though please wear more than that. Many women look really great in heels, but hey, I'm 5'5" so think about that if you'd like me to look into your eyes. I'd rather we expand one another's horizons than become each other's entire universe. I'd like to find someone who will challenge my mind in conversation, spar with me in a battle of wits, and see the sun on rainy days--My Kingdom for a smile.

I would like to meet at a quiet local restaurant for a leisurely dinner and perhaps a nice bottle of wine--nothing too high pressure. Even if the conversation is light, that's the best way to get insight into whether we have good chemistry together.
