I work during the week so I try my best to enjoy my free time. This could range from watching a sports game over a nice home cooked meal or going to the park on the weekends during the day then going out at night with the guys. All kind of depends on the season and what's going on at the time. During the summer a nice baseball game is fun or going to the beach whereas during the winter seeing the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center or something as simple as going to Starbucks is nice. And although it's cliche to say, being 23 in NYC I'm just looking to enjoy life and make the best of everything.

I think what you make of the date is what matters most. If you're both having a good time then it doesn't matter if you're going to the park, having a drink or doing the traditional dinner. Although I think it's best to avoid only going to non-conversational settings such as seeing a movie, cause then ya can't talk, in which case, doesn't help for a beneficial first date.
