Things I have learned in the few short weeks I have been on PoF:
1) I still do not understand women
2) The chemistry test on here means jack sh*t- I would say anything over 80% at least warrants a look and possibly a response
3) Never live on the 3rd floor, it is a pain moving
4) Always check to see if someone receives emails from people more than 75 miles away :)
5) The marriage search seems to be a little to presumptuous, isn't that moving a little quick? :)
6) Always log out of here when you leave your computer, do not want people thinking you are on here all day :)
7) I send emails because I like to see myself type, no other reason :)
8) Pictures of women with guns is not sexy!!!

Hoping to meet some new people, expand my social circle and maybe meet a nice woman in the process. Looking at dating now, but not afraid of long term relationships either. Also prefer Austin, but am willing to travel as well as long as not to far - so San Antonio, etc.

I am very close to my family and friends, but they are all out in CA. I moved to Austin about 10 years ago on my own for work, but I get to see them multiple times a year, which is a good thing. My friend base in Austin was one of the things I lost in the divorce so looking to build a new ones.

I am adventurous, love to be outdoors (hate sitting, do that enough at work). Enjoy good food, live music, great outdoor venues, UT football and so much more. I have been known to be sarcastic and humorous. I always like a good laugh (even at myself). Whether anything happens here is to be seen, but I hope to meet some cool people along the way and maybe some friends as well.

I updated my profile to say I drink 3 or ore times per week because I do enjoy a glass or two of wine with dinner or to relax after a long days work.

Music: rock, 80s, some metal, alternative, jazz, classical, world music, etc. My ipod is a total mess. Not a huge fan of hip hop or rap, except the classics - Beastie Boys, Run DMC, etc

Movies: comedy, dramas, adventure, Sci-fi, horror and the occasional "chick" flick :)

Places I have traveled: All over the US, China, Greece, Egypt, Kenya, Mexico, London, Amsterdam, etc.

I am looking for a good friend to enjoy good times, whether out and about or at home. Must enjoy sushi, wine and the occasional spontaneous adventure. Must also love animals as well, as I have two dogs who are great companions.

First date, preferably outdoors where we can enjoy good conversation, maybe a glass or two or wine and then see where the day takes us. Maybe dinner, bowling, a game of miniature golf, walk on town lake or maybe some live music.
