I was born in England, but grew up here in the States (don't get excited outside of words like Mum and vitamin - I sound very American). I travel overseas as often as the pocketbook will allow to see family and the sites and to be honest is has been way too long since I have been there. I follow English football and from August until May I generally never miss a match my team plays. 8am at the pub can be rough sometimes, but I think that football (soccer) is the best sport in the world so it is well worth the early rise. Locally, I follow the Sounders and try to get in a match or two every so often and have picked up a season ticket for the 2010 season. I love music and going to live shows, in fact, I usually go to at least one show a week.
I would say that outside of work my time is spent doing little projects in my house or in my garden, hanging with my 4 legged furry beast, reading a good book, watching football, listening to music, going to shows and playing with my camera.

I love good conversation and having it over a few drinks at a bar never does anyone any harm. I wouldn't consider myself a dance club kind of girl, but that is generally because they are so impersonal.

As for what I am looking for – I think we all want to put the same things - a good sense of humor, honesty, a kind heart etc etc and honestly is anyone really going to come out and say “I’m dull, I lie, and I like to kick puppies.” I suppose I am looking for that person that compliments my faults and has something to share with me and teach me. If you can sing me to sleep like Greg Laswell, Josh Radin or Keaton Simons I will probably melt in your hands (you may think I jest!).

I think I am a pretty good mix of stuff but with a lot of contradictions - a total girlie girl at heart but don’t do the girly giggle rather it is usually a hearty laugh (probably in response to some slightly off colour joke). I think having a partner in crime would be wonderful, but I am not waiting on that person to come take care of me – I have done fairly well on my own. I cherish my friends and family and yet I am not scared to be on my own. Capable of having conversations with the presidents of my company, yet I can still hang with the boys at the pub and the words that come out of my mouth when I am watching footie (soccer) would make some people blush. I never yell (unless it is at sporting event) – it doesn’t feel good, but I am articulate and generally speak my mind at the appropriate times. I am just a little bit of everything, while still just being me...

To clarify one thing I am looking for - I have selected dating, but really I am looking for a friendship (that is where it all begins right?), that turns into dating with the hopes that it will turn into something long term. It seems the natural progression of things. While I don't believe in soul mates and I am not itching to walk down the aisle tomorrow, I do want to find that one person who I get along with and we both want to put in the work and the effort it takes to make a relationship successful and long term (I don't deny that I wouldn't mind being married one day). To squelch the possibility of what could be before it begins seems like a waste of time to me. If this is not what you want, that is fine, but you need not apply here.

So I don't think there is enough here to really get to know me - you are just going to have to chat with me to learn all of the ins and outs. I certainly can't be summed up in a few paragraphs.

A nice mellow bar with a drink or two seems like a good start.
