I decided to try online dating not because it's hard to meet people but because I'm finding it is difficult to meet the right person. I went back to college for a computer science degree. I was working full-time and going to school full-time for the past few years. Dating sort of took a back seat to my personal goals. I'm almost finished with my degree and am only now turning my attention to what I want in the next phase of my life. My profile says I am interested in dating but if I meet the right person, I would be ready for a long term relationship.

Socially, I'd say I am pretty easy-going. I usually get along well with all types of people. I don't like drama. While I like to meet new people, I value most my family and those friendships which have stood the test of time. I love to learn and to try new things. I like variety in my activities. I enjoy everything from a nice dinner and a show at the Fox to a rodeo. (Okay, I've only been to one rodeo but I got a big kick out of it!) I like to be active but I can also appreciate some down time. I consider myself to be well-rounded and hope to meet someone who is like me in this sense.

I'd like to meet someone who is fun but also has a good head on his shoulders. I love to have fun and joke around. I tend to be most comfortable with people who doesn't take themselves too seriously all the time. On the other hand, I value good conversation. I tend to be more reserved with those I don't know that well. However, once I am comfortable with someone, I can be silly or sarcastic, random or witty.
