I'm fairly new to this site - I've been on here for a couple of weeks. I'm not looking to hook up, and I'm not looking for some responses that will go nowhere. I am on this site because I work and go to school full time and do not get to meet many people. My past two relationships were my most serious and most difficult, and both were pretty long-term. I think that now, after taking quite a while to "heal", I am ready to meet some new people. As much as I try not to be, I am hesitant to open up to guys I do not know already, so I am shy and may require some persistence if you are serious about getting to know me.

I love to write, travel, learn new things, and work with animals. I am going to school to major in English and Education and I hope to be an elementary school teacher and/or a writer/journalist. My dream is to also start my own animal rescue on the side. I am pretty quiet, I have an odd sense of humor that is random and sarcastic, and I'm most passionate about animals and writing.


Who/what am I looking for? I want someone who I can talk to without feeling like I'm interrupting their life. I want someone with ambitions and dreams, along with the dedication to persue those dreams. I want someone who is relaxed and easy going, outgoing, and someone who can force me out of being so incredibly shy. Of course I am looking for someone who can make me laugh, gives me butterflies, and can cheer me up when I'm not having a great day. I am NOT attracted to arrogance, guys who must always be in a relationship, guys that are all talk, live in the past, or who do nothing with their lives. Someone who can be classy and romantic and also casual and laid back. When I'm with my boyfriend I usually prefer just relaxing and hanging out - I'm not necessarily looking for someone to travel the world with... I'm open-minded, though, and I believe that there are always exceptions.
