About Me
I'm a laid back woman looking for a good man to spend some time with but not rush into anything too serious too quickly.
I ride a motorcycle when the weather cooperates (and sometimes when it doesn't), I just got back from grad school in the UK and have done lots of other traveling as well. I love two kinds of music - hip hop and folk. The last two concerts I went to were T-Pain and Arlo Guthrie and they were both completely fantastic. I like to write and read, usually nonfiction. The last book I read was "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man" by Steve Harvey, and I'm currently on the latest by David Sedaris. I care about politics but mostly social issues, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I get most of my information from Jon Stewart, NPR, and Dan Savage. I'm confident and independent but I still like being treated like a lady by a good strong man. I can be very adventurous if asked to try something new with someone, but when left to my own devices I'm also quite happy to stay at home watching movies, reading, or listening to NPR while I paint my nails. I'm also very passionate about many things, including passion.
The type of man I'm looking for knows who he is and where he's going, has got his head on straight and doesn't mess around with games. I tend to prefer black men and thick athletic bodies, but it's always more about the personality than anything. I enjoy working out but it's been a while and I do have some curves, so I like a man who likes thick chicks.
First Date
I appreciate a man who plans dates, especially if he suggests something unique or creative. But I'm not hard to please, and I actually prefer something simple for first dates, like coffee or lunch. I believe first dates should be fairly low-key - hold out on the good stuff until we know we're into each other.
