Hi, my name is Mark. I grew up on a small farm in northeast Iowa. I have five siblings (an older sister, three younger brothers, and then my little sister... all of us within a ten year span). I have 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and another one on the way. No kids of my own yet. If you couldn't tell already, I grew up in a close knit family and I believe family always has to come first. Update: nephew #4 just arrived 6 weeks early.

I have two degrees... a 2 year AAS degree for Industrial Electrician and a 4 years BS degree for Electrical Engineering. I currently work as an Electrical Design Engineer.

I enjoy being active. In the past year alone I have played on a flag football team, a coed softball team, a mens softball team, a coed sand volleyball team, and a bowling team. I probably enjoy participating in sports more than watching them.

I enjoy the outdoors, but I also enjoy taking time to relax and watch movies.

I am hoping to find someone that shares some of my interests and is looking for a serious relationship.

For a first date I would say dinner or if the weather is right a picnic. If no dinner than maybe something lighter like getting ice cream. Maybe just hanging out at a park, going to a sporting event, or some other event that we would be able to have a conversation and get to know a little more about each other. That rules out going to a movie for a first date. I think a movie would be more appropriate for a second or third date.
