This section is pretty difficult for me, since I'm not quite sure where to start or what to say. Anyhow, the following is my attempt at creating an abridged, albeit biased, representation of myself:

Starting at the top, I work with excel spreadsheets for a living. Not bad, given the current economic environment and the fact that my knees aren't quite intended for hard, physical labor. I use these spreadsheets to crunch numbers and to keep those big, publicly-traded corporations honest. This work is important to me because it pays the bills and rent, and it's important because I hate half-assing things. Unfortunately, this is perhaps the main reason why I've considered signing up with this site in the first place. It's pretty damned difficult meeting people outside of work these days.

"Anyway, what do you do for fun?" you ask?

Good question. Well, I enjoy exploring the various neighborhoods, cuisines, (sometimes weird) entertainment and activities that the City has to offer. I'm a browser, so thrift shops and flea markets make me happy. I guess the hunt of scoring that next Alice Coltrane vinyl or some other antique trinket appeals to me. Farmers markets, food festivals, and nice restaurants also make me happy. Although, someone told me we were in a recession, so I've currently been trying to cook a little more often.

If I'm not out and about, then I'm usually at home wasting time listening to music. I am a self-proclaimed music junkie. If I could, I would make a career out of lounging and listening to music. I will listen to anything and everything, but can't particularly get enough of the likes of Nina Simone, Al Green, Bill Evans. Also, there's Patrick Watson, Priscilla Ahn, and Rachael Yamagata. Then again, there's also Minus the Bear, Broken Social Scene, the Strokes, Black Eyed Peas... Ahhhhh so many!(Note: I loath music snobs.)

Can I just tell you what my favorite tv-shows are instead? House, Lost, and the late and great Arrested Development. R.I.P.

Something super casual that allows for substantial face time. Nice dinners on the first date???!!! Seriously?
