A very gentle soul who tries to feel God through my daily life and is on a mission to save the world. I would love to meet someone who is some type of healer, whether a doctor, naturopath, chiropractor, reiki practitioner, etc., since it's an important part of my own life that I would love to share. Compassion is one of the most important things to me, and I seek someone who looks to help others and improve themselves, since that is something I aspire towards in myself. With a lot of ancient history and interfaith religious studies, my belief system encompasses things I've learned from many places, including Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, Native American teachings (though not yet to the extent I would like) and Taoism as well as a lot of personal introspection, taking practices from many but preferring not to label myself with an "ism" at all, though I do have consistent religious practices such as prayer, vegetarianism, scriptural study, abstinence from alcohol, personal codes of modesty, self discipline and meditation and have a deep love for God. The most important men in my life reflect that- they are Lao Tzu, Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, Moses, Aaron, Enoch and other spiritually pure visionaries whose teachings I love and respect, plus Kuan Yin, my role model.. If something improves me as a person and brings me closer to God, I am interested in learning more about it and giving it serious thought. I am also fascinated by the idea of life on other planets and find it a logical conclusion, both from the perspective of statistics and from the study of ancient and modern history from across the world.

I love learning things from others as well and enjoy seeing others' perspectives. Modesty on many levels is important to me as well, and something I appreciate in people who spend time with me. To those I am close with, I am very vibrant, close, full of fun ideas, love and a visibly twisted sense of humor, though to strangers, I prefer to be kind but quiet and seek to help them if I am able to do so. Even a kind word can turn a person's entire viewpoint completely around, and I have enjoyed many conversations with people from many walks of life.

I love the outdoors, especially in warm areas, and am very at home in a tent in the forest (though I'm very happy to spend my time reading at home as well, especially if it involves tea and a papasan chair). I've spent time overseas and loved immersing myself in other cultures and ways of life, as well as getting to learn new languages.

I work with rescue animals, rehabilitating them and training them to be therapeutic pets that I bring to work with special needs children and I love it! I'm allergic to some animals, but love them too much to let that stop me! I also do natural health consultations which, aside from the western and Chinese herbs, nutrition and exercise/bodywork advice also can involve reiki, crystal healing, aromatherapy and some life coaching. I suppose you could call me an "empath". I have a deep joy at connecting deeply to someone or something in a way that brings healing. I am very, very sensitive to feelings, moods and thoughts and do best with people who will be kindly and gentle (but have independent thought and a backbone as well), even during conflict, as I seek to do the same. In addition, I support the medical use of cannabis and find it a gentle, cruelty-free medicine that should be accessible to those who benefit from it. If you are opposed to it, we won't do too well since I plan to write my ND thesis on an aspect of this subject. :)

Music's another big part of my life. I'm a soprano and sang in a semi-operatic choir for a while (and have many in my family who enjoy singing and performing), and love being part of African and Middle Eastern drum circles, usually playing the djembe. I play a little guitar and even less fretless bass, and would love to learn the harp. I find music can be an incredible part of my spiritual life, as well as being something incredibly fun and healthy. My taste in music includes pretty much every style; I'm fairly open minded and can enjoy rock, country, metal, classical, new age, trance, reggae, trip-hop, cultural music, pan flutes, etc..

And, on a side note, though NJ is listed as my state, I am hoping to make my way to the West coast or nearby states; at least somewhere warmer!
