I’m somewhere in the middle -- with a dash of devil.

ME: I am a retired USAF Lieutenant Colonel (now government contractor).

I am somewhat selfish … In the case of an aircraft emergency; I’ll put on my oxygen mask first before helping you with yours.

I try to live by the Golden Rule, but have to admit it’s harder these days because people are so rude!

I’m old fashioned in that I will most always open doors for you … unless you are being a particular pain in the butt on that given day. It is kinda nice for you because you have a metric with which to measure your performance (my door was opened / my door was not opened)... "ha ha."

I enjoy hand holding and PDA.

I’m not a bar fly, but enjoy the occasional night on the town dining, drinking and dancing ... this means you need to be able to dance.

I love to cook and I am probably better at it than you! Care to have a cook off? I'll cook first!

I’m a dog person, not a cat person. However, for some strange reason, cats love me.

I pretty much enjoy all sports but I am not the fanatic who spends the entire weekend in front of the TV … different story during playoffs. The mountains tend to call my name every weekend.

I attend church (Lutheran) on a "fairly" regular basis. However, some weekends the call of the mountains is stronger than the call of the pulpit. When that happens, I can be found hiking, camping, fly fishing, hunting, skiing, dog training (Labs) or doing any other outdoor activity. Yes, I’ve proven that one can worship whether sitting in a pew next to a cute little old lady whose coat smells like mothballs or sitting on a rock alongside the river I happen to be fly fishing.

I usually hit the gym every day after work and take weekends off for play.

Words that are synonymous with / describe me … Honesty, Integrity, Playful, Adventurous, Meticulous, Warm Hearted, Caring, Romantic, Focused and Driven.

YOU: are warm-hearted, beautiful inside and out and also attempt to live by the Golden Rule. You are a confident, outgoing and independent woman who does not need a man to define you. You are not afraid to try new things. You are just as comfortable in a tent/sleeping bag as you are in a 5-star hotel. You easily transition from sweat pants to a little black dress for a night on the town. You love to dance and even do so around the house when you are by yourself. You take pride in your fitness level and are not afraid to break a sweat at the gym.

Your self-esteem is not tied to how many Herme, Dolce & Gabbana , Dooney & Bourke, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Brighton, Coach, Prada, Gucci, etc. products you have in your closet. You are more concerned with the “little” things in life than you are with the “finer” things in life. NOTE: If you are a collector, we are probably not a good match … BUT WE COULD DEFINITELY STILL BE FRIENDS!!!!

I am a family man at heart and I talk to my parents weekly and my siblings at least monthly (all live out of state).

I am at a very happy place in my life right now. I am searching for a “rare gem” that will provide some “additional” sparkle to my life. I chose VERY poorly the first time around.
