I am a retired fitness instructor; 3 years separated from that active of a lifestyle. I have taught at the middle, high school and college level. I grew up as a "beach boy" (always around water sports). I was a decathlete, water skier, sky diver, SCUBA diver, boxer and ice skater in college. I have a definite type "T" personality; seeking exciting challenges throughout my younger years. Now I am retired, and enjoying the homestead that I built. Life is simpler, somewhat mellowed, and back to the basics now... and I love it! My neighbors call me their "21st century pioneer". I enjoy gardening, tending my chickens, woodworking, local events, photography, hiking, reading, antiques, cooking, exercising, and my church, to name several. I like many types of music; classical being a favorite. I'm a fair hand at dancing. I love to listen to a good thought-provoking speaker. I try to maintain a knowledgeable opinion of current events. I would like to share my interests with the right lady, and if we mutually agree to a step 2-3-4... wonderful.

I would have the first date be outdoors, with no pressure of any expectations. Let's just enjoy some scenery, relax and converse in whatever direction the mood takes us. I'll pack the picnic (or go to a local place for lunch). Above all, I would hope that we just have an enjoyable time visiting,sharing. Whatever a next step holds, it will be something that we both want and agree on. I would simply hope to relax, be honest, and enjoy the moment with a nice lady. From there... we'll just have to wait and see...
