Hi, as well-rounded person I seek balance in everything I do. I work hard at my profession and strive to optimize my opportunities, while enjoying life's many pleasures. I treat everyone with respect, kindness, and generosity and expect the same in return. Trust and faithfulness are paramount in all my relationships, and I surround myself with those who value the same. My closest friends are few in number but great in virtue and our relationships are eternal. I believe my parents are the model of their generation and their love for each other and their children shaped who we are today. I have a high level of confidence, but without arrogance. I don't get along well with pretentious or materialistic people - kindly move on if you only date guys who drive BMWs, etc.

I enjoy exciting activities like skiing, motorcycling, rock climbing and skydiving, although its been some time since I’ve done the last two. I lived in Italy for 10 years and have developed an appreciation for practicality, culture, and food. I bring life to the party but I’m not the life of the party. I make delicious meals and a mean Tiramisu. I keep my home clean, neat and organized and would not get along well w/someone who did not. Grocery shopping is my least favorite chore and motivated only by the opportunity to meet other singles ;) I’m a romantic at heart and enjoy making a nice candle lit meal followed by snuggling on the couch, either talking or watching a good movie, or… Not crazy about watching sports on TV, but enjoy playing them whenever I can. I'm athletic and somewhat competitive, and extremely handy... I can fix almost anything. I'm also very picky (as most of you are too ;)) and have high standards, for myself especially. I have my political perspective but I’m not politically motivated. My faith is very important to me and part of my everyday life; it shapes who I am and what I do.

The person I would like to date would be smiling so far from reading this brief description about me and already thinking what to say in her message to me. She is not a supermodel, but beautiful in my eyes, both physically and in her heart. She would answer honestly the question, “Body Type” and I would respond to those who are similar to mine. I’m not searching for specific characteristics – for me it’s about the “whole package”, but I do have a few uncompromising attributes (deal breakers): smoke, use drugs, atheist, don’t want kids (if you have kids they must be well-behaved), don’t speak English, not completely independent, and don’t live a healthy life-style.

I think the first date should be as casual as possible making it very easy to talk. It should be low-keyed, low pressure, and not an interview. Something like a coffee or adult beverage in a relatively public place to remove any fears. If I feel some connection during the first emails or phone calls, I might even bring some flowers. Just as important, I think the first date should also end with a clear understanding whether they would like to meet for a second date.
