I am originally from Puerto Rico, born, not raised. I am fluent in spanish and enjoy a variety of activities. I have a great sense of humor and refuse to give in to the idea that at 54 I should be golfing and playing bingo. I am retired but still remain active. My favorite hobby is riding my motorcycle and spending time with friends who share the same interests. I've had my share of dissapointments but refuse to give up on finding that special someone. Life is too short to sit around and ponder on what could have been, so my search continues. I enjoy being with someone who can laugh and share their enthusiasm for life with me. I also appreciate someone who can be supportive when needed as I would support them. I love spontaneity ie. going away for the weekend and doing something we both enjoy. I also can have a great time staying at home and getting "comfy" watching a good movie, esp. when it's raining. I feel that I am unique because I am a one woman man and once the chemistry is there I make an honest effort to keep the relationship going. I am a firm believer in developing a good friendship before taking that next step. What I've described here is not unlike many other profiles you see because basically most of us want the same things.

We all agree that that first encounter can be an awkward one. No matter how many times you do it you still can't help but get nervous and wonder what will happen. I would like to treat my date to a nice dinner and then take her somewhere with a nice view to enjoy a nice leisurely walk. This would give both of us an opportunity to learn more about each other and determine if we want to see each other again. Everything in life is a risk but there are some risks worth taking more than others. Meeting the right person can be a very life changing experience, so why not risk it?
