First off, I am new to this area. I first lived in Lakeview for a year and before that came from northern Wisconsin. I just recently moved to Des Plaines to be closer to work (the commute was driving me insane) and as a result, need new people to tolerate my shenanigans. Not looking for anything in particular to start, I'm open minded. Friends and acquaintances are nice to start. If we hit it off even better. A workout/biking partner even.

I am a very nice person at heart with manners (chivalry isn't dead yet), but I am also cynical/skeptical at times and not afraid to say when something is F___ed up. Honesty is the best policy and sarcasm is great among friends, I use it often after I get to know someone. I also like the keep it simple principle, why over complicate things? I try to keep up with current events and love a good debate on them. If you don't like dark humor or get offended easily, I might not be your match.

I'm into biking and other sports in the summer with snowboarding and snowmobiling up north in the winter. I love electronics/technology and look for ways to utilize and learn about it. I cook a lot because I like my food to taste the way I like and its healthier. I like to mess around on the PC after work and/or play some games when nothing else is going on. Weekends are for fun and adventure. Would like a snowboarding buddy for the winter. I don't mind teaching if you don't mind a bruised ass.

For music pretty much anything goes except Death Metal or Country. I don't really like these two genres a whole lot but can at least tolerate country if its on. I don't get into the mainstream music too much.. I'm not a teenager anymore. The only real goal I have right now is to eventually own a house since I am on my way in my career. One step at a time right?

I am really laid back and don't let many things get to me. Some would say I need more emotion or passion, but I just don't show it very well. I don't like to act based on emotion, its silly. I am reserved at times but enjoy listening and interesting conversations. Small chit chat is boring. I tend to be a potty mouth when I open up to people and they get to know me more.

I always wanted to take someone out to a comedy show after some dinner. OK, might not be the best first date, but at least it would be a great time and humorous, unless the comic was atrocious of course. Sorry girls, fancy is not my norm. Sure I like to do the whole dress up thing once in a while, but I grew up in northern Wisconsin where a good night out consists of pints and billiards at the local pub while trying to avoid a bar fight with the uppity drunks.
