I am looking for something that could turn into a long term relationship and am not looking for anything quick. I believe in honesty and getting to know someone and that takes time and strong communication.

I am fit, active, and enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, traveling and just plain getting out and relaxing in a natural setting. I am hoping to find someone that would enjoy getting out and doing things like enjoying a glorious sunset with me from time to time. Traveling is always fun because it brings new places and exciting adventures.

I also enjoy just hanging out with the special woman in my life, whether that be taking in a good movie, walking on the beach, or staying in and cuddling on the couch. The most important thing is enjoying each other's company.

Friends and family are an important part of my life. I come from a close-knit family. I have also built a solid group of friends that I enjoy spending time with. It is not unusual for me to go camping with my friends over a weekend (or longer).

I am an animal person by nature. I enjoy the company of my cat who adopted me many years ago. I also look forward to seeing wildlife while I am out and about.

I believe that romance is a lost art. I enjoy doing the little things like holding doors for the ladies. I also believe that a lady should be secure enough in herself to appreciate it, yet not expect it (or demand it). I also believe that part of that lost art involves doing little unexpected thoughtful things (such as a surprise notes) to show the lady in my life how special she is. Those things reflect the lady in my life and the relationship that we have. I also like being on the receiving end of that sort of thing.

To me the first date should be in a comfortable setting where we can get a chance to know each other without any undue pressure. Coffee or a nice meal both do nicely. If there is some chemistry there, a nice leisurely stroll is also enjoyable.
