I'm a simple person. I enjoy getting out and enjoying life. I don't mind the occasional evening on the couch but in nicer weather, I like to be out doing things such as hiking, biking, etc. I work hard being self employed, I attend church regularly and I try to stay in shape as best as possible. I spent 14 years in the Army and Reserves and consider myself a patriot. I'm also a firefighter and it is something I enjoy doing and don't plan on giving up any time soon.

I would like my mate to enjoy some of the things in life that I do. I like to travel and see new things. I'm also a bit of a romantic and enjoy an evening by the fire with a good bottle of wine or a nice restaurant with a walk by the river afterwards. I also enjoy getting out of town and trying new B&B's. I'm not into playing games. I'm looking to meet someone who is sure of herself and not into playing games either. My mate must have a good heart and is honest about what she wants in life. I believe that two people in a relationship should also be best friends. It's important to be able to communicate openly and confide in one another.

I don't smoke cigarettes but I do enjoy a good cigar with a bottle of wine or cognac. One of my guilty pleasures. If there's anything else you would like to know, all you have to do is ask:)
