I enjoy the process of getting to know someone new - always fscinating. I'm easy-going and I tend to get along with lots of types of people. I'm a realist, but see and feel the need for idealism every single day. I'm deeply sensitive, but commanded by logic. I'm an anthropologist, so I like to learn about different ways of and approaches to life, alternative perspectives - just kind of always been that way, really. I've lived in a couple of other cities and have been in DC for over four years now. I like it, but to be honest, I'm not convinced I'll be here forever.

I'm interested in someone who can carry a good conversation, but enjoys the comfort of silence now and again. I am attracted to those who regularly think outside the box, question norms, and have a good sense of humor about life. I don't take myself too seriously, but I do believe that life isn't all a joke and I'll let you know, with respect, if something truly matters to me (that's all part of any good conversation I suppose, though). That being said, I love to joke around and laugh until I cry, go to music shows; festivals; explore cities (including DC) on foot or bike; watch movies; read; attempt random art projects; travel when I can.

In short, I'm interested in finding someone genuine, unique, and with an open mind - to hang out with, get to know, and let the rest take its course.

Let's keep it simple - meet up and chat over coffee or drinks first. Let's talk and try to get to know one another and, then, decide if we want to extend the date or make a plan for next time (or, if all else fails, go our separate ways).
