"Dreams Do Come True." I really believe that! At least if you follow a dream with all your heart, you'll come a lot closer than if you stick with a job you hate for the sake of "security" or for a benefit package that may come too late to be enjoyed. I'd rather eat dirt sandwiches all day long than sit at a desk, even a big one with a good view. Okay, enough of that philosophizing...

I've done lots of interesting things so far & intend to keep doing them. Blessed with loads of curiosity, I have a very wide range of interests & activities & get along well with most people & animals too, including large ones & even some wild ones. Working with horses is good for the soul; plus, it gets me outdoors every day in every weather & it sure beats going to the gym. I mean, nobody at the gym has a velvet muzzle & nickers when he's glad to see you.

I'm straightforward, kindhearted, & easygoing, but I'm clueless about the latest celebrities or network TV comedies. Please don't let me near a Trivia game, because I'm absolutely terrible! On the other hand, I'm unusually brave & resourceful, & I love to cook, especially with other people. Yes, I can bake a pie, knit, crochet, & even do needlepoint when absolutely necessary, but now I live in a world of contemporary art & crafts & am surrounded by people much more creative than I am.

Lovely & artistic, but pretty tame compared to my past life of dangerous adventures where I did save a few lives & outwitted a few psycho-killers. Don't ask. It was an unusual career. Which is why I don't like movies with gratuitous violence & people mistreating one another just for dramatic effect. I prefer character development & complex situations when it comes to the big screen. Fortunately, I live in an area with independent cinemas so we get to see the good movies, old & new.

Don't you hate seeing that word "I" so many times in these profiles? How else to describe ourselves? What, in the third person? Nope, so I'll just keep plugging along & try not to sound egotistical about it.

Music-wise, it's Bach to Bluegrass, regional & "roots", singer-songwriters, jazz interpreters, definitely the Blues, old country, even most operas & musicals, Conjunto & Tex-Mex....the list goes on & on.

If you wonder about women & sports, well, I love the Olympics, both summer & winter; I'll watch a good dog show any day; give me bullriding please, & a big yee-hah for Adriano; How about those Red Sox (go Ells!)? And I absolutely adore the extreme sports - have been an X-Games fan from the very start (don't laugh - even Tony Hawk has gray hair now); at the same time, I consider the national spelling bee a first-rate contact sport & try not to miss it every year.

I'm something of an odd duck because I'm happy at campfires or art exhibits, in the middle of nowhere or the middle of Manhattan, wearing overalls or evening gowns, at a barbecue or a gala evening. It doesn't matter, as long as the people are genuine & the shoes (or boots) are comfy.

My life is just great...a home, a wonderful, growing, creative, artistic business, & some fine, fine horses who keep me humble & "in the moment"! Really, I'm living a dream, & I would love to share it with someone exceptional. Someone who is secure in himself & would like a true partner who is adventurous but also sunny & sentimental. I hope you too have wide-ranging interests & are open to new experiences. I'm definitely not a fossil! And please, if we go on vacation, let's explore the local culture...I could never stay on the ship!

A first date, hmmm....let's see how long we can be together & still want to be together. It doesn't matter so much what we do.
