Gulp; I tend to be a an out of the box thinker and I'm fairly happy being alone. I,m looking for a lady with similar attributes, which sound oxymoronic, but I'm hoping if you're the one, you'll understand.

I make my living mostly with sailboats and it means I travel quite a bit, it seems exotic and it sometimes is, but I was recently in Athens and all I saw was the supermarket and a nice restaurant (I did see the Parthenon in the distance).

I'm British and have retained my accent, although my U.K. friends don't think so, this was not a deliberate affectation. Just the way it is.

I like soul music and blues. I really like the African American influence on music. I've spent a lot of time in the Caribbean and therefore, I like reggae and SoCa.

I'm not very houseproud, or possession proud generally, I do hope to clean up my hovel though.

My kids are very young adults and I'm still very much involved in their lives, they have a younger brother with whom I'm special chums too.

I have asthma, which is pretty much under control, but it affects lots of things that I enjoy, this is one of the few bio's that does not say "Walking on the beach"

I look older than I am, but have a bit of a Peter Pan syndrome, and act much younger than I am.

This is a strange question because I'm not sure a good first date is a precursor of a good relationship.
Having said that, it would be great to find some common ground, it would be lovely to have a good belly laugh, extra points for exhaled mucous. Mutually inspired ribald affection would be great, so: All of the preceding or "a cup of coffee at Borders"
