Well here goes. I am a professionally employed, currently working in the new home construction industry. I am secure in my employment, and enjoy what I do for a living. I am looking for a professional woman, who is not looking for a man to take care of her, but work with her for a better life. I love hard, and believe you get out of a relationship what you put into it. I am a little old fashioned, in the way that I believe a woman is to be cherished, and respected. I am down to earth, and do not believe in buying love. I want someone who can be themselves as well, and just relax, and enjoy time together.

I enjoy doing many things to relax, one of which is woodworking and carving. I would love to just make furniture; however, my real job calls.

I was a full time single father. My oldest son is getting ready to enter the military, and my youngest is experiencing life on his own.

I have come to realize that you can tell if someone has read your message. Please understand that I can check them while I am out of the office; however, I cannot respond till I get to my home computer. If I don't respond immediately please understand it is only due to my being away, as my job takes me all over Northern Alberta.

I'm also not looking to play the game, I just want to find one person to get to know, be with, and learn to love.

One thing has come to my attention, and that is some men are not respectful, or honest and their dealings with you ladies. I am not that way, if you ask I will answer, I have not climbed mountains, nor do I fly gliders. I am just a down to earth guy, who would not mind trying some new things. I don’t believe in lying to find someone. So please do not judge me by the actions of other men.

A must for me is to have someone on my life who is interested in a healthy lifestyle. I broke my back in 2000, and only recently have been given the go ahead to get back to the gym. I was very fit before, and I will be fit again. It takes discipline and focus to achieve that, and if I have someone who will at least understand that, it would be a bonus.

Well, I think the best first date would be a get to know you night. Maybe a casual dinner, with good conversation. I know you will have your list of questions, as would I. I would come ready to be open and honest, and if things are to work out we start on a good footing.
