I have a daughter. That's first and foremost. So if you don't like kids, you can kick rocks. She lives with her mother, and I see her on the weekends. Even though there is nothing between my baby's mom and myself, I will say I'm fortunate, she is very attentive and loving to my child. Moving on.

I've done the dating site thing before, but I'm trying something new. Instead of all of my good qualities, I want to put them right up against some of the qualities that you ladies might have problems with. Full disclosure, so take notes.

I am an INTP. For those of you who don't know what this is you can disregard it or look it up for yourself. Basically, I am Introverted iNtuitive Thinking Perceptive type personality. Somewhere at 2% of the population are INTPs.

I'm intelligent. Not in the Stephen Hawking, Einstein or Richard Dawkins kind of way (not yet anyway). This also means I can be argumentative. I really don't like that word, it implies I like to start fights. I like debating, I guess. And nine times out of nine, it's just dumb shit. Semantics and technicalities are probably my speciality. It's about the process, not the outcome for me. I reserve that aspect of myself for people I'm comfortable with, and keep in mind none of this "debating" is done at the top of my voice.

Smoking. I still smoke, trying like hell to quit. Just dropped $45 on the nicorette gum.

I'm hard-headed. I won't elaborate too long on this one but I think this could be a positive and sometimes a negative.

I swear and I have a crude sense of humor. On the other hand I have manners when required. I also chew with my mouth closed, a pet peeve of mine.

I try my best not to lie. 1) Who likes a liar? 2) I'm not good at it. I will however, tell a white lie in a second, to avoid hurting someone's feelings.

I'm low maintenance. T-shirt, jeans and boots. Don't wear jewelry that often. I can "dress nice" if the occasion requires it. Other than that, I just don't care what other people think.

My current goal is to get into school for nursing. If that requires I go to a plumbing job in iraq for a year, then so be it. I'm trying to avoid that, obviously for my daughter's sake, but if that is what it takes then so be it. I can get a grant but I'm left with the task of supporting her financially. On a related note, if you are in, or just out of, school and have some advice on college/grants/programs it would be greatly appreciated.

I like all kinds of music, even starting to listen to a little country. The only TV shows I watch are House MD, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and sometimes the discovery channel.

I love playing pool. I'm good at fixing things. I'm learning guitar and drums. I'm a great plumber. I don't dance, I've tried and I've failed, I don't dance.

I like girls with black hair, but it doesn't matter. Short girls are cool, but it doesn't matter. I like girls with nice tattoos, but it doesn't matter. What does matter; fun, sweet, light-hearted, intelligent, SUPPORTIVE (and i don't mean support me, i can take care of myself), non-judgemental, those are things I value.

For those of you familiar with Myers-Briggs, the book says I'm best suited for an ENFP or INFP. Of course, if I had any idea of who was good for me, I might not be on an internet dating site. For that matter, neither would you.

So why would you want to message, let alone date, a smart ass, argumentative, scruffy plumber? Statistically, you don't. What you get in return is honesty, loyalty, and all kinds of other good stuff. I did not tailor this profile to appeal to the masses, but to a specific type of woman. Someone soft enough to smooth out the rough edges and strong enough to remind me when I'm full of shit. Artistic is good too.

After all that, I also want to say I have a sense of humor, and like to have fun. I like trying new things as much as the next man.

I type like I talk, except you can't read into any tone or inflection because there is no voice to go with it. It's a serious flaw with the internet. There's quite a bit of sarcasm and humor in here, hopefully you find at least some of it.

p.s. - I've been browsing the site for about a while now and I see a disturbing trend of profiles loaded with, "all men are posers/all men are douchebags/there's no more real men". These women need not contact me. That type of mentality is ridiculous. I don't care for being labeled by anyone who has never met or interacted with me in any way, simply because I have a**** Let's face facts, you "only" meet douchebags not because that's all there is, but because that's who you fall for. Think about it and try not to be so negative towards an entire gender. That, or just be a lesbian.
