I'm a very active person, at least in the summer (I. Hate. Cold. Weather.) and biking is my passion. I should get a new bike pretty soon, but I just spent waaaay too much money on paintball gear which is quickly becoming another passion of mine. I've been described as down-to-earth, compassionate, thoughtful and very practical. I know how to do a lot of things around the house and car, and if I don't know, I'll soon figure it out because that's kinda what my job is all about.

I love my job so much. I get to learn something from just about every trade there is, and have the skills to make just about anything as well. I also get to work on whatever I want, providing there isn't an urgent matter to attend to. The only downside is how dirty my job can be. In fact, I could compete with Mike Rowe for dirtiest job in the world, because at the end of the day, wherever I was not protected by my coveralls, I am usually black with dirt, and covered in some form of oil. My job is to set up, maintain and repair really d*mn heavy industrial machines, the biggest so far weighing in at about 90 tons.

As far as my goals go, I'm on the path to being what I want to be, whats left is to make enough money to travel all over the world and experience different cultures, and to design and build my own house, preferably geothermally powered.

The type of person that I'm looking for is one who also likes to stay active, enjoys the outdoors as much as I do and preferably doesn't mind the bruises that paintballing can occasionally give because I go paintballing a lot and there are not enough girls that like the sport, but if you don't like it, that's ok, it just means I have some work to do to get you to like it :P. I value intelligence and challenging oneself, and I'd like someone who values those as well. I believe chivalry and romance do still exist and I make sure to treat girls with the respect they deserve. I like cuddling. A lot of guys seem to think that they lose some manliness by admitting this, but usually those guys are high on themselves or not very open-minded. I like doing the little things for girls that seem to be neglected nowadays, like opening the door for her, or a thoughtful letter just because, or sending flowers on a random day.

Oh and as for my taste in music, I have something from every genre except the ones where there is a fat lady singing at a frequency high enough to shatter glass on my computer and listen to it all with no playlists and in no particular order. I figure this way it's more like a radio station, because once I find a station I like, I usually like all the songs they play, but only a few of them I'd consider really good, just like what's on my computer. My favourite bands are U2, Pearl Jam, Within Temptation, John Mayer, IllScarlett, Cog, Big Wreck, Our Lady Peace, Incubus and See Spot Run, just to name a few. Music is definitely something I can't get enough of :).

Anything that does not involve sitting in a restaurant trying to fill the awkward gaps with conversation but only making small talk and ending up with awkward silences anyway, or sitting in a theater not making any conversation at all. Rock climbing is fun, and pretty close to me, or a bike ride through the river valley, a picnic at the legislature, paintballing, a walk down whyte ave, etc.
