I’ve never really liked the bar or club scene. I love my buddies but don't see them much. It's hard when you have completely opposite schedules. I like waking up nice and early on most weekends. Grab some coffee on my walk and start the day off with the rising suns vitality. Although by the second half of most weekends I find myself lounging around at home or across town hanging with the family. Hi, I’m Jimmie.

Taking long walks and strength training is something I truly enjoy doing. Since having back surgery over ten years ago, making those little, everyday healthy choices is really important to me. That wasn't the story of few years ago. It's been a worthwhile journey and I've learned a lot about myself. I’ll admit, on a lot of those morning walks I think about what it would be like having someone there. Whether were carrying on a conversation or just enjoying the comfortable silence of each other’s company. I'm looking for friendship. Then hopefully out of that something more meaningful and heartfelt will develop. I prefer staying in more than going out. That doesn't mean I don't like going out though. Maybe dinner at a nice restaurant with friends then a walk in the evening afterwards.

I have aspirations of becoming a full-time writer one day. I've had something I wrote stuck in development hell for a few years. The project has been moving forward recently and I'm very excited. 2010 is gonna be a great year. I love my day job. The kids are in class the majority of my shift which leaves me with tons of down time. I spend most of that time walking around campus, reading or hiding out so I can write. It’s very cool that I have such a laid back job where I have the extra time for pursuing my dream. People who have a plan B never achieve their plan A.
