| | I'm a former attorney, turned high school teacher who loves to read, meet friends for coffee and to drink fine wine (I especially love good California reds). I also like to watch indie films and to play with my big dogs. I like kind, light-hearted guys who love to laugh (especially at themselves) and who don't take themselves too seriously. If you don't like big dogs, please don't contact me! I'm petite with long, curly brown hair and blue/grey eyes.
Sorry, but I CAN NOT responsibly put pictures of my face on here because I have too many students and/or former students who might be frequenting this site...but I will send photos upon request.
Not looking for intimate encounters or crass one-liners. If that's all you've got, please don't bother with me...There's plenty of other options on this site...
Things that you might NOT like about me, and I'm being completely honest here. I am not a huge fan of hiking, boating, camping, etc. Sorry, but that's just not me. My ideal vacation is either in Hawaii (love reading on the beach or by the pool and the wonderful food there) or visiting European cities like Paris or London. I'm also rather 'high maintenance' a la 'When Harry Met Sally'. I love to vacuum and keep the house clean (especially the sheets -- must be washed once a week), but I have a clutter-bug problem -- I hate throwing things out! My closet is also over-filled with designer clothing, some of which I probably have to donate or try to sell (but who has the time to do that?).
What else? Favorite books of all time: East of Eden, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, The Fountainhead (and not b/c I'm an Ayn Rand conservative freak), Gone with the Wind, Rebecca, She's Come Undone, Catcher in the Rye, Lonesome Dove, Prep, Good in Bed.
Oh, and I currently have a jeans obsession. To date, I own over 80 pairs (but whose counting?), including Rock & Republic, Citizens of Humanity, Sevens, Joe's, etc. In other words, I'm rather a shopaholic...but also a bookaholic, as I'm currently in the middle of about 5 books. I guess I should be grateful that my addictions relate to clothes and books, as opposed to other more nefarious pursuits...;-)
Favorite CA Wines (in no particular order): Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir, Schafer Hillside Select Cabernet Sauvignon, Merus Cabernet, Joseph Phelps (esp. Insignia) Cabernet, Williams Selyem Pinot Noir, O'Shaugnessy Cabernet (Howell Mountain), Constant Cabernet, Diamond Creek Cabernet (Gravelly Meadow), the Maiden Cabernet, Palmeyer Merlot (a bomb!)
