my hobbies include camping, cooking, reading and writing; sports and exercise; playing the piano and guitar; going to concerts; cubs games and to the local bar for a game of bags and a pitcher. you might find me bowling; fishing or on the bike trail at times.
i have different goals in various aspects of my life; but my overall goal is, and has been, to continue to be expand my life with new relationships; improve on existing relationships; continuing to learn and to find new ways to make a difference and to keep on enjoying life.
i am a unique person and would rather hear why from someone else than try to describe myself objectively. in the past; though, i have heard that my uniqueness is something like an ability to understand how people i am close to are feeling without them telling me so and; on the flip side; somehow allowing those same people to have that ability with regard to my feelings.
when i first started listening to music seriously i was mainly into jam bands and classic rock; spent alot of summers camping out at festivals and travelling to see the grateful dead and, somewhat later, phish. i still love those bands and enjoy them but now my interest is eclectic and all over. i like jazz and blues, both of which i really enjoy seeing live, and i also like hip-hop, rap, electronic and old country. feel like i spent half my life as a child in the car with my parents listening to oldies so i can appreciate some mo-town or doo-wop. i have a strange desire to sing in a barbershop quartet......jk (maybe)

a first date isn't necessarily dinner or a movie. a first date should be a time to maybe get a coffee or go for a walk or maybe both but either way it's about just meeting and some time spent talking and getting to know each other
