About Me
I play a bunch of tennis and would love to find a partner not only for tennis but to go dancing and possibly take dance lessons together, explore local area museums, galleries, festivals, markets, etc. I love to travel to out of the way destinations both domestically and internationally. I strive to stay active trying this and that; for example, I am currently learning Italian. I have been a sailor for many years and have sailed in the Med, the Caribbean, and throughout the east coast of the US.
I try my hand at art, both watercolors and acrylics and make jewelry. I am studying the art of making handmade books and handmade paper beads. One of my acrylics just sold at a local boutique/gallery in Federal Hill. Amazing for me to think that someone is hanging my artwork on their wall. Pretty cool!!
I am trying to stay retired (but tend to flunk out of retirement, funny huh?). This happens when I see an interesting consulting project that may be short term and rewarding. I specialize in the area called Change Management, a big event in the corporate world.
I have been a widow for 5 years already, where has the time gone. I would love to meet someone who is interesting, intellectural, independent, someone who feels good in their skin, who has a lot of energy, who has a few common interests with mine, and who is ready for a relationship that starts slow and, if it fits, develops into a long term partnership.
Thanks for exploring my profile. I hope it pushes a button or two and you want to send me an email.
Perhaps you are interested and we can share more about one another via a contact.
First Date
First dates are always fun and exciting for me because the intrigue is there. Will the person look like their photo, are they really who they represented themselves to be in their profile, is there chemistry. Meeting once is hardly enough to go on but I think we all have had enough experience to know if a second date/get together is in the making.
The first date could simply start with a glass of wine if later in the day or a coffee for a morning meet up. Sometimes, it is nice to meet in the morning so that if the interest is there, the remainder of the day opens up for other possibilites, lunch, exploring the local area together. Sometimes, if the timing is right, meeting on the day when there are other local events occurring works great; meet for coffee, find that we like one another, head to the local event to fill out the day which gives each other time to talk, find out more and see if another date makes sense.
