I'm an adventurous free spirit. My dog, Chili and I live in the foothills of the north GA mountains. We often go hiking together. I enjoy running and frequently do road races and trail races around the north-metro area. I play soccer in a men's league with some mates from high school - I have a lot of fun with that. I don't watch TV, but I love to read. I'm currently reading The Tropic of Capricorn by Henry Miller and, simultaneously (depending on my mood), Franny & Zooey by Salinger. The Catcher in the Rye is my favorite book of all time.
I enjoy life. I like to have fun. I would like to meet someone who enjoys an active lifestyle, a bonfire, a hot grill and a cold beer from time to time. I enjoy good conversation and sitting on the porch in the evening with a friend.

First dates are a silly endeavor, so I'm pretty open. Dinner and a movie is so cliche...I'd rather hook up for a race or some sort of adventure. Not a race like, where if I win, I get in your pants (though that would be interesting - I'm not that fast for you open-minded competitive types), but like a 5k or a 10k around town just to spend some time talking and pacing one another...followed by a grand post race breakfast. If you don't race, hiking is always fun - something that I would do with anyone, yet with an open door to explore if I might be doing it with someone who could spark my attention. Meeting for drinks was my last first date-turned relationship, and I just don't know if that's a decent litmus test. After a couple of beers she enjoyed EVERYTHING I enjoyed. Too bad she really didn't...
